Vendor Compliance Requirements

As recipients of federal health care program funds, including Medicare and Medicaid, National Jewish Health is required by law to provide employees, affiliates, contractors and vendors information regarding the federal and state False Claims Acts, which are intended to prevent and detect fraud, waste, and abuse in the federal health care programs. The institution depends on each member of the community to do the right thing and to raise questions as they come up. Ethical conduct and compliance is everyone's job, and each of us can make a difference.
Through the Compliance Helpline, employees, affiliates, contractors, and vendors who do business with NJH can report potentially criminal activities or violations of NJH policy. Calls to the Helpline are handled in confidence and are not recorded. The Helpline administrator will document the information reported during the call, and that information will be forwarded to the compliance officer. After reviewing the report, the compliance officer will initiate an investigation to determine if corrective action is required. The Helpline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, toll-free at 111-CALL NJH (111-111-1111) ext. 2727.
